The award-winning Taste of Wisconsin festival is quickly approaching and the event organizers are hoping you have saved your appetites! Presented by North Shore Bank and produced by the Kiwanis Club of Western Kenosha, Taste of Wisconsin takes place Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31 at Celebration Place in Downtown Kenosha, along the shore of Lake Michigan. (Friday 3-11pm, Saturday 11am-11pm, Sunday 11am-7pm). This is a family-friendly celebration of all things tasteful and all things truly Wisconsin in their flavor. Admission is FREE. The eighth annual event proves to be a feast for your senses with over 40 food and beverage vendors from around the great state of Wisconsin serving up their fresh-made specialties. July 29: Max After U.S. Marine Kyle Wincott is killed in Afghanistan, Max, his highly trained service dog, is too traumatized to remain in service. Back in the U.S., Kyle's family adopts the dog, but teenage brother Justin (Josh Wiggins) has problems of his own and doesn't want the animal. However, Max may be Justin's only chance to learn what really happened to his brother. With the help of a dog-savvy friend, Justin and Max begin to bond, and set out to unravel the mystery of Kyle's death. Max is rated PG for action violence, peril, brief language and some thematic elements. Max will take place at Lincoln Park at dusk! (No specific time, just when it gets dark). Lincoln Park is located along 22nd Avenue, between 69th and 71st Street. Snacks and refreshments will be available at the concession stand, but moviegoers are more than welcome to bring their own.
