How long have you been bartending?
I’ve been bartending for nine years! I started bartending at eighteen years old at Bull N Bear – now known as Kenosha Brewing Co!
What beer do you recommend that’s on tap at Rustic Road?
I would recommend the Hazelnut Harvest, it’s our most popular beer on tap and a beer that satisfies all palettes
Who’s your favorite local band?
Miss B Haven! Haven Wells is an incredibly talented individual. If you haven’t heard her sing, come into Rustic Road Monday nights for Open Mic Night- hosted by Shane Madsen starting at 8pm!
What do you love about bartending?
Everyone has a story. Whether it’s having a cold one after work to unwind, being there for someone’s bad day or celebrating a birthday, one of the best parts of bartending for me is getting to know people and make them laugh or smile. I still run into my “regulars” from Bull N Bear!
Do you know any bar tricks?
Nope! I’ve always admired bartenders that are able to do bar flair, but I am honestly the clumsiest human being.
What’s the best advice you’ve received across the bar?
Never take things personally
What do you love about Downtown Kenosha?
I love it’s forever evolving atmosphere, delicious brunch spots, and going boating on the lake! There’s always something to do in Downtown Kenosha!
Best bar joke you’ve heard?
I CANT EVEN THINK OF ONE LOL
What’s the perfect drink/food pairing at Rustic Road?
Brisket sandwich with sweet potato tots and the Haze Craze #7!
What do you like to do for fun?
Yoga, hiking, going out for brunch, or just laying low and binging a good Netflix series and ordering some takeout!
