If you start with a basic knowledge of growing season, you’ll know what kind of produce to expect each week! While we have some farmers who grow plants in greenhouses or hydroponically for year-round growth, other items are only available during specific seasons. Join our newsletter to stay on top of what is coming into season week to week.
Plan Meals Ahead of Time
Work on a meal plan and take inventory of your needs so you know what your shopping list will look like. In additional to your regular eggs, cheese, bread, and fresh meats, you’ll find veggies, prepared foods, jams, and sweets at the market. You’ll be able to seek out specific items for recipes at the market and supplement at the grocery store then. We grantee that you’ll find extra goodies, too!
Bring Your Reusable Bags
We advocate for being eco-friendly. Bring your reusable market bags so you’re ready to shop! We also have Kenosha Public Market branded bags available for purchase, and some weekends you’ll find beautiful fair-trade baskets available from our vendors as well.
Order Ahead
Use Kenosha Public Market To-Go, our online shopping platform, to order early in the week to ensure that you get your high-demand items. These goods will be ready for you at the customer service desk. You can continue to shop the market for other items, but you’ll know that your must-have list is taken care of and waiting for you!
Talk to the Farmers
Get to know the people who grow and make your food! The beauty of shopping local is that you can learn about the process of how your food reaches you. From the process of how your food is grown to tips about storing and preparing, you’ll find that farmers and artisans love to share their knowledge with shoppers.

The Kenosha Public Market is located just west of the Municipal Building, 625 52nd Street, every Saturday this summer from 9am – 2pm (8:30am for seniors & special needs)
